Our Story ~
In 1993, we moved to Healdsburg from a nearby property with a lovely large home and a few acres. We moved because we wanted a smaller house and more agricultural land. When our four grown children saw the fixer-upper farm property we purchased, they were a bit horrified! We later learned they held meetings behind our backs trying to figure out why in the world we bought such a place. They wondered what we were thinking! After moving in, we hit the ground running and refurbished the homes and barns, added landscaping and planted twenty acres of grapes. These days our kids and grandkids love the property — and, now they think we are brilliant!
Walt is a retired computer engineer turned grape grower. Barbara is a writer and product developer of educational products for many publishers. Working in our gardens and vineyards keeps us busier and happier than ever! We also love to sail and play golf. Local wineries and community activities provide us with fun things to do all through the year! We’d love to take a walk with you through our private vineyards and tell you the story of our vineyard.
We invite you to discover and enjoy the charm of our wonderful small town. Healdsburg is a friendly place where you will feel "right at home."
Our 25-acre farm is just 1 ½ miles from charming downtown Healdsburg and the Plaza.
Country ... but so close to town. More than 70 wineries are within 30 minutes of our driveway.
Healdsburg is in Sonoma County ~ just 65 miles north of San Francisco.
